NINH THUAN

One of the lands of natural contrasts of Vietnam is Ninh Thuan province. To the north and the south of the province are two ranges of high mountains jutting out the sea, making it a beautiful bay with emerald lagoons and excellent beaches. Ninh Thuan is famous for its production of grapes, sugarcane, cottons, garlic, onion, and salt. The area’s best-known sight is the group of Cham towers known as Po Klong Garai. You can see Cham towers dotted about the countryside 20 km north of Phan Rang Town. The Cham culture still exists in this site. Thousands of Cham descendants are living in and around Phan Rang town, the central town of the province.

Cana Tourist Village

Cana Tourist Village is 6 km from Phan Rang town. This is a small village located along the coast with many nice small rest houses. Visitors travelling from north to south and in reverse often stop in Cana to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of this area. In Cana, you can enjoy bathing on the white sand beaches dotted with huge boulders, going hiking, canoeing or exploring grottoes.

Ninh Chu Beach

Five kilometers away from Phan Rang town to the east, Ninh Chu beach is one of the most picturesque beaches of Vietnam. This 10-km sandy beach is half circle-shaped and surrounded by the ranges of Scot-pines and mountains of overlapping rocks. Sunbathing on the fine sandy beach, swimming in the turquoise water, fishing, or trekking over the mountains is nice experiences for the visitors.

Po Klong Garai Cham Towers

The most famous landmark of Phan Rang is the Po Klong Garai Cham Towers. This group of four towers is the remainders of a group of six constructed at the end of the 13th century. The towers, built as Hindu Temple, stand on a brick platform at the top of a crumbly granite hill. The towers are charming for its exceptional ancient look and the inside mystique. On a nearby hill is a rock with an inscription from the year 1050 commemorating the erection of a linga by a Cham Prince.
